\u201cVleissentraal has upgraded its biosecurity facilities and there is always a vet on site at auctions. The vets also advise farmers about what they can do on the farm before they get to the saleyard to avoid problems,\u201d says De Klerk. Animals will always be stressed by change but the auction can be managed to keep the pressure at low levels, to the benefit of the seller, the buyer and the livestock.\u00a0<\/p>\n
