Real Stuff for Success is an education and coaching company based in South Africa and focused on empowering people to achieve success sooner in their lives. Founder Candice Preston has launched her first book,”Unlocking your superpowers: keys to achieving success in school and beyond” to empower young people to build success (however that looks to them) sooner in their lives. She wanted to cut through the noise and give young people a simple guide that connects them with the ‘real stuff’ they need to know whilst combining this with powerful coaching to help them achieve real results.

Speaking at the launch of the book, Candice said: “I hope that this book can empower many young people to achieve the success they desire sooner and live happy lives. 10 years out of school I looked back at what I had learnt and wished I knew then what I know now. I want teach and coach students on how to build successful lives. I am making it easier for them.. giving them a road map – making it simple – clearing the noise.”

Reflecting on how she got into coaching, Candice said: “Sports coaches help athletes become the best they can be so why not have a coach for life to help us become the best we can be in all of our endeavours? I was extremely fortunate growing up because I had access to incredible teachers and coaches who helped me become who I am today. I wanted to give more young people access to these types of people and empower them no matter what their upbringing. Maya Angelou said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” When we give young people great knowledge, tools and support they can achieve great things and lead more fulfilled and happier lives. We need to empower our youth and support them as best we can in a world that gives them many challenges but also many opportunities.”

She adds: “I am a sports coach and I use the principles I use on the court in the classroom and in life – not everybody is on court or on a sports field. Lessons learned here can empower them for life. In the pages of my book I impart knowledge and experience but coach my readers to apply this into their lives to create change and achieve the success they desire (on their own terms) sooner.”

“I believe in the power of coaching. I have had some amazing coaches throughout my life, and they have really helped me to reach new levels that I would not otherwise have reached. I am also aware that not everyone has access to these types of coaches, so I wanted to allow you access to me as your coach within the pages of this book. I wish every child could access a great coach.”

About Candice Preston

Candice Preston is a teacher, life coach, academic coach, Certified Financial Education Instructor, netball coach, entrepreneur and lifelong learner. She began her career in teaching in 2011 and never looked back. She has been a teacher and coach for more than 11 years. In 2020, Candice earned her Masters in Education degree after researching how life coaching impacts female high school students. Feeding her deep love for learning, she continues to read, learn and explore each day. Candice’s desire to empower more youth led her to write this book and to create her company, Real Stuff for Success, in which she helps the youth build confidence by equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. She does this by training and coaching students in Whole Brain Learning methods and financial education. Candice hopes to empower more young people to learn, grow and live their lives to the fullest.
