Inside the First-Ever Smart Money Africa Digital Book Launch with BamBooks – Smart Money Africa
The Smart Money Tribe launched digitally on BamBooks, Nigeria’s first digital pocket friendly library that offers users unlimited access to thousands of books. Arese Ugwu is the author of the bestselling and ground-breaking The Smart Money Woman, the financial chick-lit novel that has taken Africa by storm, and she returned to form with the second instalment of her exciting series, aptly named the Smart Money Tribe. The book, which is a continuation of the compelling story of Zuri and her closest friends depicts how the magnetic group of women navigate personal finance issues in Lagos, tied in with lessons every African woman can learn from.
Sitting down with Bolanle Olukanni to discuss her latest novel, Arese shared her thoughts on feminism and what it means to her. She said, “Feminism is not man-hating, it is basically asking for equal access to opportunity. If I go to school, and so does Emeka, we should have access to the same jobs and money making opportunities, simple.”
Through her innovative series, Arese is helping young African women discover their power and equipping them with the necessary financial literacy tools to build their future and make smarter money decisions. As she debuts the second book, she continues to engage African millennials on the importance of financial literacy and the impact it has on helping them get money, save money, and most importantly grow money.
